Jefferson City Man Will Christmas Shop with $5,906 Club Keno Prize

A Jefferson City man is using his $5,906 Missouri Lottery Club Keno prize to “pay bills and Christmas shop.” Kevin Bax, 49, bought the winning 7-spot Club Keno ticket at Eagles, 1411 Missouri Blvd., in Jefferson City.
The first-time Lottery winner joked that it was “about time” that he won. He admitted that he didn’t initially realize how much his ticket was worth.
“When I first got it, I thought that I won $100,” he explained. “I thought that I had six out of seven (numbers), but I missed the 16,” said Bax.
The winning number combination “flashed up there” on the screen once, so he took the ticket to a cashier for confirmation.
After learning that he had actually won a $5,906 prize, he said he was feeling “great.”
To play
Club Keno, players can choose how many different numbers (also called "spots") they want to play from 1 to 10. Twenty numbers from a field of 1-80 are chosen in a computerized random Club Keno drawing held every four minutes.
