Sikeston Man Makes $250,000 on Mega Millions

Story Photo A Sikeston man is $250,000 richer after matching all five white-ball numbers in the Nov. 12 Mega Millions drawing.  Robert Poetzman, 49, purchased his $3 Quick Pick ticket at Larry’s Pit Stop, 2413 E. Malone Ave., in Sikeston.  The winning numbers were:  9, 26, 28, 35 and 38.

Mega Millions is a multi-state game that features jackpots starting at $12 million.  Drawings are held on Tuesday and Friday nights at 10 p.m. 

To date, nine Missouri players have won $250,000 Mega Millions jackpots.  Additionally, one Missouri player multiplied their $250,000 jackpot win to a $1 million prize by selecting the Megaplier option for an extra $1 at the time of purchase.
