Lab Worker Finds Formula For Lottery Win
An assistant lab director from Troy, Ill., discovered the winning formula for a $10,000 Powerball jackpot in the Sept. 29 drawing. Donald Baumer used the Quick Pick option when he purchased his winning ticket at Piasa Pantry, 14010 North Highway 76, in West Alton.
Baumer, 57, said his wife, Gina, didn’t believe him when he shared the good news.
“She said, ‘No, you’re kidding,’ when I told her,” Baumer said.
The frequent lottery player says he’ll use his winnings to help pay for a car for his teenage son and his daughter’s college expenses.
