Barkley Selected As Missouri Lottery's New Ad Agency
Barkley, an advertising agency in Kansas City, was awarded the Missouri Lottery’s advertising contract during the Oct. 13 meeting of the Missouri Lottery Commission held in Jefferson City. The value of the contract is dependent upon legislative appropriations and is effective through June 30, 2013.
“Our evaluation committee said Barkley pitched some amazing concepts during the bid process,” said May Scheve Reardon, executive director of the Missouri Lottery. “We are looking for new ways to reach our players and potential players and fresh ideas about how to get our messages out. We think Barkley will be on board to help us achieve that goal."
Reardon noted that effective messaging drives sales and higher sales mean more money for Missouri’s students and education. To date, the Lottery has provided more than $3.8 billion to the state and public education.
