Mexico Man Makes $13,605 During Lunch
A Mexico man took home $13,605 in "leftovers" on Aug. 25. Andrew Bail, 32, was eating lunch with friends at Nick’s Bar and Grill, 107 S. Washington St. in Mexico, when he decided to play the Missouri Lottery’s Club Keno game. The first-time Lottery winner never expected to win on his 7-spot Quick Pick ticket, so he "was very shocked" when he saw that his ticket held the winning numbers.
"At first, I thought I won $500, but after looking again, I realized it was a lot more," he said.
Bail added that "it’s nice to have a little nest egg."
"With this economy, you never know what could happen," he explained. "I’m going to put the money in the bank and save for when I really need it."
When asked to sum up his Lottery-winning experience, he said, "It’s been fun and really interesting!"
To play Club Keno
, players can choose how many different numbers (also called "spots") they want to play from 1 to 10. Twenty numbers from a field of 1-80 are chosen in a computerized random Club Keno drawing held every four minutes.
