Bartender In High Spirits After $50,000 Lottery Win
Winning $50,000 can make your head swim like a stiff drink. At least that’s what Anthony Dudash, of St. Louis, felt like after scratching off the top prize on a “The Price Is Right” Scratchers ticket last week. Dudash, 41, a bartender at Branica Wine Bar in St. Louis, said this is the biggest amount of money he has ever won.
“I was finishing lunch and wanted to cash in some other lottery tickets I had. ‘The Price Is Right’ is my favorite ticket, so I got some of those,” said Dudash. “I scratched the first line and thought I won $10,000, so I stopped scratching and called my sister.”
Dudash met her at a local pub to confirm what he was seeing.
“She said, ‘Lets scratch the rest and see if there’s more,’ so we scratched the rest, and she started going nuts,” he explained after revealing the $50,000 win. But Dudash was more cautious with his emotions. “I’ve been fooled by a fake lottery ticket before. No doubt I was careful.”
Dudash says he intends to buy more Scratchers tickets in the future. He purchased his winning ticket at 7-Eleven, 4328 Telegraph Rd., in St. Louis.
A new car and some home improvements are in Dudash’s future. He also plans to put some of his winnings into a savings account.
“The Price Is Right
