Cory Fults, 25, of St. Ann made a quick stop at a convenience store for supplies and won the top prize of $50,000 after purchasing a “Crossword” Scratchers ticket on July 31. He purchased his winning Missouri Lottery ticket at Truman BP, 3735 Harry S Truman Road, in St. Charles.

“I stopped by the liquor store and just decided to buy a ticket. It’s a blessing from God,” said Fults about his unexpected win. “My first phone call was to my aunt. I am going to pay off her car for her.”

Fults professes to be a big St. Louis Rams fan and will use some of his winnings to buy game tickets this football season.

Crossword,” a $3 game that began Feb. 27, features more than $3 million in available prizes. Further information on remaining prizes for all Missouri Lottery Scratchers games can be found at Molottery.com.
