Gas Mart USA Sells Independence Woman Ticket Worth $50,000

An Independence woman is $50,000 richer after uncovering the top prize on a Missouri Lottery "The Price Is Right" Scratchers ticket.  Dorothy Smith, 57, purchased the winning ticket at Gas Mart USA, 17600 E. 39th St., in Independence. 

“The Price is Right,”  a $3 ticket with a top prize of $50,000, officially began on May 1. 

The Missouri Lottery generates nearly $1 billion a year in sales and contributes more than $200 million annually to Missouri public education programs, including the A+ Scholarship Program, Special Education Excess Costs and Vocational Technical Schools.
