Springfield Man Wins $250,000 Lottery Prize

Missourians have been able to purchase Mega Millions tickets since the end of January, but many players have not yet tried the newest Missouri Lottery game.  One Springfield man who did is thanking his lucky stars after winning a quarter of a million dollars.
Bill West purchased a Quick Pick ticket for the June 25 Mega Millions drawing at Price Cutter, 2525 W. College St., in Springfield.  The ticket matched all five white-ball numbers to win the second prize of $250,000.  The winning numbers were:  1, 2 13, 19 and 27.  The Megaball® number was 21.
Mega Millions is a multi-lottery game with jackpots that start at $12 million.  The game plays much like Powerball, another multi-lottery game, including a multiplier option that can be added at the time of purchase.  Players who add the Megaplier® option for an extra $1, can multiply all non-jackpot prizes by a Megaplier® number between two and four selected during the drawing.
