For just the second time in Missouri Lottery history, a set of quadruple numbers was drawn during a Pick 4 drawing. The numbers 5, 5, 5 and 5 were selected during the midday drawing on Saturday, June 26, resulting in a total of 160 winning tickets.
“We sold $37,025 worth of Pick 4 tickets for that drawing and ended up with a total payout of $418,980,” according to Scott White, online product manager for the Missouri Lottery. “That’s a prize payout of 1,131 percent – the most we’ve ever paid out.”
The only other time quadruple numbers were drawn for a Pick 4 drawing occurred during the evening drawing on Oct. 24, 2000. Coincidentally, it was the 5-5-5-5 combination that proved to be a winner in that drawing as well.
Pick 4 drawings are held each day at 12:45 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. The game began on Nov. 2, 1998.
