APRIL FOOL'S IS NO JOKE TO ST. LOUIS POSTAL WORKER
April Fool’s Day provided no jokes but one great surprise to a St. Louis woman, who uncovered a $100,000 top prize in the Missouri Lottery’s "Big Money" Scratchers game. Jacqueline "Jackie" Goode, 58, said she bought two of the $3 tickets when she stopped in Riverview Dairy Thrift, 10009 Bellfontaine in St. Louis, on Saturday. The second one she scratched turned out to be the winner.
Goode said she plans to use the windfall to pay off her car, save for her upcoming retirement and share some with her family. Goode, the mother of six grown children, has worked as a mail handler for the United States Postal Service in downtown St. Louis for more than six years.
"Big Money" officially went on sale Feb. 12.
