Camdenton Woman's Winnings Will Make Tails Wag

Story Photo audio icon A Camdenton woman knows exactly what she’ll do with the $5,000 prize she uncovered on a Missouri Lottery "10X The Cash" Scratchers ticket.  Rachael Waterman, 36, will be met by a very excited canine clan, comprised of a golden retriever and three labrador retrievers, when she brings them home the presents she plans to buy with her winnings.

Waterman discovered she won the prize on June 4 after a stop at Thompson’s Country Store, 9051 Highway 54, in Macks Creek.

"At first, I thought it was just $500, and I looked at it closely, and I saw that it was $5,000," she recalled.  "Everyone was screaming and jumping around.  I probably jumped around a couple of times."

After she "checked it and re-checked it," she returned home to hide the ticket in a drawer until she was able to claim the prize at a Lottery office.

"10X The Cash," a $5 game with a top prize of $100,000, officially began on May 1.  To date, eight top prizes, as well as thousands or prizes ranging from $5 to $20,000, remain in play.  To learn more about this game or any of the Lottery’s games or promotions, visit Molottery.com.
