Time Is Running Out for $200,000 Powerball Prize Sold In Rolla

Story Photo If you buy Powerball tickets in Rolla, please check your pockets, wallets, car visors and anywhere else you might keep Lottery tickets.  There is only one day left for the owner of a $200,000 Powerball prize from the Oct. 31, 2009, drawing to claim.  Unless the holder of this ticket comes forward tomorrow by 5 p.m., the prize will expire.

The winning ticket was purchased at Casey’s General Store, 808 E. Highway 72, in Rolla.  It matched all five white-ball numbers drawn Oct. 31, 2009, to win the second-tier prize of $200,000.  The winning numbers were:  2, 19, 26, 41 and 54.

“We would hate to see this prize expire,” said May Scheve Reardon, executive director for the Missouri Lottery.  “If you find the winning ticket, please bring the ticket to one of our offices immediately.”

Missouri Lottery offices are located in Jefferson City, St. Louis, Kansas City and Springfield.  Maps to each office ( http://www.molottery.com/contactus/contactus.jsp ) can be found at www.molottery.com.

Powerball winners have exactly 180 days from the drawing to claim their prize.  Any prize money that goes unclaimed 180 days after the draw date will go to the Lottery Proceeds Fund to benefit Missouri public education.
