CAPE GIRARDEAU WOMAN UNCOVERS $30,000

A trip to Wink’s Convenience Store in Cape Girardeau for Sunday newspapers brought one Cape Girardeau woman a $30,000 windfall. Christine "Chris" Wilson, 53, said she stopped in the store for the St. Louis and Cape Girardeau newspapers Sunday morning. While there, she decided to buy three "Full House" Missouri Lottery Scratchers tickets. The third one turned out to be worth $30,000. "I don’t normally buy them (tickets)," said Wilson, who works as a dietary aide at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. "My husband likes to play poker, so I bought those." Wilson said she plans to use the money to pay off the family’s car, truck and a recent furniture purchase. "Full House," a $2 instant game from the Missouri Lottery, officially went on sale April 8.
