Soda Stop Yields Lottery Win For Farmington Man

When Oliver Denoyer, 40, of Farmington, stopped for a soda at Convenience Barn, 13 W. Karsch Blvd. in Farmington, he thought all he’d get was something to quench his thirst. But he decided to purchase a “Silver 7s” Scratchers ticket and swallowed hard when he won the top prize of $77,000.

“I just stopped in to pick up a soda and a Lottery ticket,” explained Denoyer, a frequent Scratchers player. “At first my family didn’t believe it. They said ‘You’re lying; it’s not real,’ but it was no joke.”

Denoyer purchased his winning ticket on March 10 and claimed his prize the next day at the Missouri Lottery’s St. Louis office. Currently between jobs, Denoyer and his wife, Tiffany, said the money will come in handy.

“I’ll pay bills. That will take up most of it,” said Denoyer.

Silver 7s” is a $5 game that offers more than 30 prizes and the chance to win up to 20 times on a single ticket.
