Massey’s Conoco, 15360 Route 66 in Phillipsburg, sold a ticket worth $750,000 for the March 2 Mega Millions drawing.  One ticket sold there for the new jackpot game matched all five white-ball numbers, qualifying for the $250,000 prize.  Because the player also added the Megaplier® option, the prize amount is multiplied by the Megaplier® number drawn, which was 3, bringing the total prize to $750,000.

The winning Mega Millions numbers from March 2 were:  9, 12, 47, 48 and 56.

"As always, we encourage everyone to check their tickets closely," said May Scheve Reardon, executive director for the Missouri Lottery.  “If you bought the winning ticket at Massey’s Conoco, be sure to sign the back of it and put it in a safe place until you can bring it to a Lottery office to claim your prize.”

Mega Millions winners have exactly 180 days from the drawing to claim their prize at one of the Lottery’s four offices located in Springfield, Kansas City, Jefferson City and St. Louis.  In this case, the winner has until Aug. 29, 2010 to claim their winnings.

Mega Millions is a multi-state game that features jackpots starting at $12 million.  Drawings are held on Tuesday and Friday nights at 10 p.m.  To date, the highest Mega Millions jackpot prize claimed is $390 million – a prize split by two ticketholders in Georgia and New Jersey.  The Missouri Lottery began Mega Millions sales on Jan. 31.
