The Missouri Lottery sends congratulations to “Senate Bytes,” a group of Powerball playing co-workers from the Missouri Senate Computer Information Systems department in Jefferson City.  Founded in 1998 “with expectations of going on a journey to find lottery riches,” the team has been named the Missouri Lottery’s March Team of the Month.

As the official team, “Senate Bytes” will receive a prize package of Lottery merchandise and will also be highlighted at Molottery.com.  Featured team members include:  Mike Campbell, Amy Niedergerke, Shannon Smith, Tammy Tackett, Kim Wade and Crissy Wilson, all of Jefferson City.

Rallying around a creative expedition theme, team leader Kim Wade said the team “ever faithfully” plays Powerball twice each week, always believing “THIS drawing will turn our luck.”

“We have been rewarded along the way with small treasures and, although our venture has not brought the anticipated fortune yet, we continue our quest,” Wade continued.  “So we will forge on with our expedition in hopes of one day obtaining the coveted prize of lottery riches.”

Dreams about what to do with those desired lottery winnings vary among team members, but include a common thread of paying off homes and traveling.

“I would take care of my extended family, charity, church and myself,” Wade said.  “But I would keep working until I had my retirement years in.”

Each month, the Missouri Lottery recognizes a players group as part of the Lottery Captains promotion.  Tell us about your team on the Lottery Captains Page at Molottery.com. To learn more about Powerball, visit the Lottery’s Powerball page
