$1 Million Powerball Ticket Sold in Fenton

A lucky Powerball player who buys tickets at QuikTrip, S. 2600 Old Highway 141 in Fenton, is $1 million richer!  One Powerball ticket sold there for the Feb. 6 drawing matched all five white-ball numbers drawn – 14, 22, 52, 54 and 59 – to win the second-tier prize of $200,000.  Because this player also purchased the Power Play option for an extra dollar, that $200,000 prize was automatically converted into a $1 million payout.

“If you purchased Powerball tickets at this QuikTrip, we encourage you to check your tickets carefully,” said May Scheve Reardon, executive director for the Missouri Lottery.  “You can check your tickets right on our Web site at Molottery.com.  If you find you’re holding the winning ticket, be sure to sign the back of it and keep it in safe place until you can claim your prize at one of our Lottery offices.”

Tickets may also be checked by using Check-A-Ticket machines at Lottery retailers, or players can obtain winning numbers by calling the Missouri Lottery hot line at (314) 340-5805.

Powerball winners have exactly 180 days from the drawing to claim their prize.  In this case, the winner has until Aug. 5 to present the winning ticket at one of the Lottery’s four offices in St. Louis, Jefferson City, Springfield or Kansas City.

This marks the fifth time a Missouri Lottery player has used the Power Play option to turn a $200,000 winning Powerball ticket into a $1 million prize.
