St. Louis Man Claims $10,000 Powerball Prize

The decision to purchase a Powerball ticket at Circle K, 1435 Kirkwood Road in St. Louis (63127), led local Daniel Abel to a $10,000 cash prize.  Abel, 53, who matched four out of five white-ball numbers and the Powerball during the Jan. 23 drawing, claimed his winnings at the Lottery’s St. Louis regional office on Jan. 25.

Powerball  is a multi-state game that gives players nine ways to win cash prizes with a jackpot starting at $20 million. The game also offers second-level prizes of $200,000 and third-level prizes of $10,000 in its drawings held every Wednesday and Saturday at 9:59 p.m.  A current list of unclaimed prizes is available at Molottery.com.
