Columbia Man Takes Home $5,100 Lottery Prize

Tax season can be a stressful time, but one Columbia man is resting easy with his $5,100 "refund," which came in the form of a win on a Missouri Lottery "$100,000 Taxes Paid" Scratchers ticket. Rubio Luberic, 37, "still can’t believe" he won $5,100 on the ticket he purchased at Philips, 126 S. Providence Road in Columbia, on Jan. 19.
"I realized I was a winner, and I got all excited," he recalled.
The first-time Lottery winner plans to pay bills and treat his family to a celebration dinner with the windfall.
"
$100,000 Taxes Paid," a $5 game with a top prize of $100,000, officially began on Dec. 25, 2009.
