French Village Man Vows to Take Care of Horses with Lottery Winnings

Steve Thebeau of French Village is counting his blessings this month, including a $10,000 win on a Missouri Lottery “Triple Payout” Scratchers game.

“I have 30 horses and a large sum of money goes to feeding them in the winter,” he shared.  “So this is like a blessing straight from heaven to be able to take care of them with no worry.  It’s a burden off my shoulders, and I just really feel blessed.”

A regular Scratchers player who “mixes it up” in terms of which games he selects, Thebeau, 49, said he was pleasantly surprised when every line on his “Triple Payout” ticket was a winner and “shocked when they were all $1,000.”

“I’ll be ahead now,” he laughed, referring to his cost/win ratio with Scratchers games.

Thebeau purchased his winning ticket at Country Mart, 125 W. Karsch in Farmington, and claimed his prize at the Lottery’s St. Louis regional office on Jan. 7.

“Triple Payout,” a $2 game that officially began Aug. 29, 2009, has more than $4 million in available prizes still remaining.  Further information, including remaining prizes, for “Triple Payout” and all other Missouri Lottery Scratchers game can be found at Molottery.com.
