St. Charles Woman Wins $147,000 Playing Show Me Cash
According to Nancy Dillman of St. Charles, if you want to win big playing the Missouri Lottery, "play Show Me Cash after it gets over $100,000." Following her own advice, Dillman purchased $10 worth of Quick Pick tickets for the Show Me Cash drawing on Dec. 29. She had stopped at QuikTrip, 55 Wentzville Parkway in Wentzville, to pick up some soda for her daughter, who had been helping her keep tabs on the game.
"My daughter and I kind of keep each other informed if it’s over $100,000," explained Dillman. "Then she would buy a few tickets, and I would buy a few, and we’d check them until someone would win."
Dillman discovered that she held a winning ticket on New Year’s Eve.
"We were out and about, and I said that I wanted to stop and just check my tickets," recalled Dillman. "When I ran it under the machine, I couldn’t believe it. We were obviously elated."
Dillman said one of the tickets she had purchased won $10, enough to pay for her tickets. The other ticket matched all five numbers to win the $147,440 jackpot. She said the money would pay a few bills and help her husband, Ron, retire early. She also indicated that the couple would give a little money to her two adult daughters.
"They’re both just starting out, so even $5,000 or $10,000 would be a lot of money to them.
"If I can win, anybody can," added Dillman.
