BLUE SPRINGS RESIDENTS WIN $100,000 IN POWERBALL

Two Blue Springs residents are $100,000 richer after matching all five white-ball numbers in the Nov. 1 Powerball drawing. Kenneth Tharp, 53, and Debbie Tharp, 48, will share the $100,000 second-level prize. Kenneth purchased the winning ticket at Price Chopper, 1100 S. 7 Highway in Blue Springs. He picked the winning numbers. They were: 4, 10, 14, 29 and 39. Kenneth plans to pay bills with his share, and Debbie plans to share some of her winnings with her four children and put the rest in the bank. To date, 497 Powerball tickets worth $100,000 have been sold in Missouri since the game began in 1992.
