Gower Man Claims $50,000 Powerball Prize

A Gower man has claimed a $50,000 prize from the Nov. 14 Powerball drawing.  Dwayne Barton matched four white-ball numbers and the Powerball number to win $10,000, and by adding the Power Play option to his ticket, multiplied his winnings into a $50,000 prize.  Barton purchased the winning ticket at Fill Up Guys, 4510 S. Highway 169 in St. Joseph.  He used Quick Pick to select the winning numbers, which were:  19, 30, 32, 48, 57 and the Powerball was 14.

Powerball is multi-state game with jackpots that start at $20 million.  Players can choose to add Power Play to their ticket for an extra dollar at the time of purchase, which multiplies any prizes, other than the jackpot, by the Power Play number.  The Power Play number is selected immediately following the drawing from a pool of numbers ranging from two to five.  The Power Play number on Nov. 14 was five.
