An Osage Beach woman has claimed a Club Keno prize for the third time since July. Colette Hicks, 53, won $3,604 playing Club Keno in July, $3,600 while playing in September and claimed her most recent prize of $3,614 at Lottery headquarters on Oct. 26.
All of Hicks’ games were played at Willowe’s Bar & Grill, 2010 State Road A in Montreal.
Though she enjoys the game she’s “been playing for about six or seven months,” she didn’t immediately know she had won her latest prize.
“I was looking at the monitor, but I didn’t realize I hit seven out of eight (spots) and the Bulls-Eye,” she said, referring to the game’s extra option that allows for larger prizes and more chances to win.
It wasn’t until she scanned her ticket at Willowe’s Check-A-Ticket machine that Hicks realized she had won her third Keno prize.
“I walked back to my husband and said, ‘You better kiss me now, babe,’” she laughed.
It would seem that others in the bar and grill are growing accustomed to her winning ways.
“They said, ‘What did you hit now, and can I rub your shoulder for luck?,’” she recalled.
“From what I know, I’m the only one that’s hit there,” Hicks added.
To play Club Keno, players choose how many different numbers (also called “spots”) they want to play from 1 to 10. Twenty numbers from a field of 1-80 are chosen in a computerized random Club Keno drawing held every five minutes.
