MOUNTAIN GROVE WOMAN BAGS $1,500 AT MALL

Marge McCarty, 62, of Mountain Grove left Battlefield Mall $1,500 richer last Saturday after winning the top prize in the Missouri Lottery’s simulated version of the "Fun & Fortune" game show. McCarty also won 100 Missouri Lottery Scratchers tickets. Other show contestants and their winnings are: Wayne Sanders of Springfield, who won $250 and 300 Scratchers tickets; Stanley Brown of Sparta, who won $250 and 250 Scratchers tickets; and Janice Bethurem of Springfield, Debbie Marler of Nixa, Sheila Kliethermes of Freeburg, and Don Pattenger of Springfield, who each won 50 Scratchers tickets. The game show was held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the mall’s east court. Contestants, who were determined during a non-winning ticket drawing, had a chance to win up to $1,500 cash and other prizes during the show. In addition, the first 500 people who entered the drawing received a "Fun & Fortune" T-shirt. The Missouri Lottery will hold a simulated game show event in Kansas City on March 11 and one in St. Louis on March 25. The regular "Fun & Fortune" game show can be seen in Springfield on TCI Cable, Channel 36, at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesdays.
