Farmington Man Claims $77,000 Lottery Prize
A Farmington man has claimed the top prize on a Missouri Lottery "Sizzlin’ 7’s" Scratchers ticket. Jerry Wiseman of Farmington purchased a $5 "Sizzlin’ 7’s" Scratchers ticket at Bonne Terre Convenience, 919 Benham St. in Bonne Terre. After realizing he had won $77,000, Wiseman presented the ticket at the St. Louis regional Lottery office on Oct. 2.
"Sizzlin’ 7’s" is a $5 game that officially began on Feb. 28. Prizes range from $5 to $77,000, and several top prizes remain in the game.
The Missouri Lottery generates nearly $1 billion a year in sales and contributes more than $265 million annually to Missouri public education programs, including the A+ Scholarship Program, the Virtual Schools program, Special Education Excess Costs, the Vocational Rehabilitation Program and Future Minority Teacher Scholarships.
