Edwards Man Wins $88,000 Prize on "Emerald Green 8's"

An Edwards man is $88,000 richer after uncovering the top prize on a Missouri Lottery "Emerald Green 8’s" Scratchers ticket.  Murray Baker purchased the winning ticket at Murphy USA, 102 Polk St. in Warsaw.

Emerald Green 8’s, a $5 game with a top prize of $88,000, officially began on July 18.  To date, the game has six top prizes, as well as thousands of additional prizes ranging from $5 to $10,000 remaining in play.

The Missouri Lottery generates nearly $1 billion a year in sales and contributes more than $265 million annually to Missouri public education programs, including the A+ Scholarship Program, the Virtual Schools program, Special Education Excess Costs, the Vocational Rehabilitation Program and Future Minority Teacher Scholarships.
