St. Louis Photographer's Intuition Develops Into Lottery Win
Kevin Duke, a freelance photographer from St. Louis, didn’t picture himself as a Lottery winner. In fact, he had never purchased a lottery ticket before. But Duke, 47, had a feeling that July 22 was the right time.
“My wife was out of town visiting family and I decided to take a walk to the gas station and buy a lottery ticket,” explained Duke. “I just had this feeling that I should buy a Powerball ticket.”
Duke’s intuition earned him $10,000 by matching four white-numbered balls and the Powerball on the July 22 drawing. He’s keeping it a secret until his wife, Anna, returns home.
“She flies back from England later this week so I think I’ll tell her at the airport,” said Duke.
Powerball is a multi-state game that gives players nine ways to win cash prizes with the jackpot starting at $20 million. In addition to the jackpot, the game offers second-level prizes of $200,000, third-level prizes of $10,000 and better-than-ever payouts by using Power Play!
