Blue Springs Man Claims $200,000 Powerball Prize

Story Photo A Blue Springs man is $200,000 richer after claiming his prize from the July 18 Powerball drawing.  Jeffrey Wimberly, 31, purchased the winning ticket at Murphy USA, 610 N.E. Coronado Drive in Blue Springs.  He used Quick Pick to select the winning numbers which were:  4, 21, 26, 28 and 47.  In addition to Wimberly’s winnings, Murphy USA received a check equal to 1 percent of the jackpot prize, which is $2,000, for selling the winning ticket.

Powerball is a multi-state game that features jackpots starting at $20 million.  Wimberly’s ticket was the 137th second-level winning Powerball ticket in Missouri since the game redesign in August 2005.
