Joplin Electrician Amped Up After Lottery Win

A retired electrician got a charge out of winning the top prize with a Missouri Lottery “5X The Money” Scratchers ticket. Robert John Webb, 62, of Joplin discovered he had won $25,000 after purchasing the ticket on July 17 at Daltons Discount Liquor, 33348 S. Main St. in Joplin.
“The clerk said, ‘I can’t believe this,’ when I showed him the winning ticket,” said Webb. “I’ve been playing the lottery since 1986, but I’ve never won this much.”
A regular Lottery player, Webb typically purchases a few Scratchers tickets when he buys Powerball tickets each week. Webb will use his prize money to take his wife, Peggy, on a Las Vegas vacation.
“
5X The Money” is a $2 Scratchers ticket with a top prize of $25,000.
