Blue Springs Man Wins Lottery's 'Cruisin'Couples' Grand Prize

Entering his non-winning Missouri Lottery Scratchers tickets proved to be just the ticket for James Kennedy of Blue Springs to hit the road with a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado® 2500 HD crew cabin with extended bed AND a 2009 Pontiac Solstice® GXP, plus $1,000 – the last of four grand prizes offered during the Lottery’s “Get Cruisin’” second-chance promotion.  Selected during the July 10 drawing, Kennedy has the option of selecting the Silverado and Solstice package or choosing the cash value option of $86,861, taxes paid.

The final “Get Cruisin’” drawing also produced five first-place winners of a 2009 Kawasaki® Jet Ski® Ultra® 260X Personal Watercraft, plus $500, a taxes-paid package valued at $12,499.  Winners are:  Jeffrey Clickner of Moberly; Jonna Coons of Hannibal; Meganne Greenwood of Fayette; Ed Vantrump of Independence; and Lou Ann Wibe of Wentzville.  An additional 100 second-place winners will each receive $500 in cash.

“Players who submitted at least $10 worth of non-winning tickets from any of the six eligible Scratchers games had a chance to win big and cruise in style,” said Nicole Baldwin, promotions manager for the Missouri Lottery.  “With a series of fabulous grand prizes – with cash value options ranging from $60,000 to more than $86,000 – this was a great way to cruise into spring and summer!  Thanks to all Missouri Lottery players who went ‘cruisin’’ with us.”

Winners in the first three “Get Cruisin’” drawings won the following:

• Drawing #1 – Cruising to the Good Life:  Backyard redesign/renovation (won by Gary Miller of Jefferson City)
• Drawing #2 – Cruising Caravan:  2009 Cadillac® Escalade® Hybrid 4-wheel drive, plus $500 (won by Rhonda Moloney of St. Peters)
• Drawing #3 – Cruise Around the World, A Decade of Destinations:  A cruise for four people every year for 10 years, plus $1,000 spending cash each year (won by Valerie Foust of Hannibal)
