Lake Ozark Man's Lucky Numbers Hit on Pick 4

Story Photo Persistence paid off for a Lake Ozark man when his "lucky numbers" hit on a Missouri Lottery Pick 4 Numbers Game on June 29, earning him a $6,000 prize.  Gene Barton, 60, had been playing the same combination of numbers for the past month to no avail, but he didn’t give up hope.

"I played the numbers 1, 7, 1 and 7 for a month, but not every single day," he revealed.  "I missed a day or two here and there.  I’m glad I didn’t forget to play the day they came up!"

Barton, a first-time Lottery winner, noted his winnings will go towards "paying bills and general living."

In terms of advice for fellow Lottery players, Barton keeps it simple.  "Pick your numbers, and keep going!"

The winning ticket was purchased at Break Time, 2259 Bagnell Dam Blvd. in Lake Ozark.

Pick 4 is 50 cents or $1 per play and has an average of 130 winners per draw.  Players can win from $30 to $6,000 on a $1 play by matching a wide variety of numbers and combinations.  Drawings are held daily at 12:45 p.m. and 6:45 p.m.
