Pick 3 Players Score Again with Triples

For the fourth time in just two months, Missouri Lottery players have gotten lucky when triple digits were selected for a Pick 3 drawing.  The most recent occurrence – in which the combination 5-5-5 was drawn during the June 26 evening drawing – paid out 317 percent in prizes.  A total of 1,181 winning tickets were sold for the Friday night drawing, which had a total payout of $350,790.

The selection of triple digits is a popular choice among Pick 3 players, according to Scott White, online product manager for the Missouri Lottery.  The combination 8-8-8 was drawn on April 28 and again on May 13, while the 4-4-4 combination was drawn on June 8.  White said an average daily payout for Pick 3 is approximately $107,850, and the June 26 payout was $350,790.

The June 26 drawing marks the 10th time the 5-5-5 combination has been drawn since the Pick 3 game began in February 1987.  The last time it occurred was on Jan. 11.  Before that, it had been more than a year since triple 5s had been drawn.

Pick 3 drawings are held each day at 12:57 p.m. and 6:57 p.m.  For more information about Pick 3, visit the Lottery’s Web site at molottery.com.
