Arnold Man Claims $100,000 Scratchers Prize

A recent visit to the QuikTrip at 6805 N. Hanley Road in Berkeley resulted in a $100,000 windfall for one Arnold man.  While at the convenience store, Armel Behrem bought a ticket for the Missouri Lottery’s new “10X The Money” Scratchers game and walked away with the game’s top prize of $100,000.  He claimed his winnings at the Lottery’s St. Louis regional office on June 4.

10X The Money” is a $5 game that officially began on May 2.  Players try to match their numbers to any of the ticket’s winning numbers to win a prize.  Uncovering a “moneybag” symbol earns players an automatic prize, while revealing the “10X” symbol yields 10 times the prize amount.

Details and available prize information on all current Scratchers games can be found by visiting the Missouri Lottery’s Scratchers page.

The Missouri Lottery generates nearly $1 billion a year in sales and contributes more than $265 million annually to Missouri public education programs, including the A+ Scholarship Program, the Virtual Schools program, Special Education Excess Costs, the Vocational Rehabilitation Program and Future Minority Teacher Scholarships.  In fiscal year 2008, the Missouri Lottery ranked sixth in percentage increase in sales among the 42 United States lotteries.
