Lucky Streak Pays $5,000 For Jonesburg Man

Story Photo A Wal-Mart employee from Jonesburg experienced a lucky streak when he won $5,000 with a Missouri Lottery’s “$200,000 A Year For Life” Scratchers ticket.  Frank Dusenberg, 71, purchased his ticket at Thoele Convenience Store, 1001 N. Highway 47 in Warrenton on May 13.  Dusenberg’s lucky streak began when he purchased a Scratchers ticket on his lunch break.

“The first ticket I won $10, so I cashed it in and bought another ticket,” he said.  “The second one was a $20 winner.”
Dusenberg said he purchased one more ticket with his winnings and won again.

“On the third ticket, I won $5,000.  I figured I better stop while I was ahead.”

Along with a new set of tires for his car, Dusenberg’s dog, Midnight, will also be a winner.  “Midnight needs a dog pen.  We only have a crate right now,” said Dusenberg.

“$200,000 A Year For Life” offers the best payout percentage in Missouri history.  The latest $20 Scratchers game from the Missouri Lottery offers a chance to win up to 20 times per ticket.  The game features more than $76 million in prizes and a top prize of $200,000 a year for life.
