A Pacific woman is $198,694 richer after matching all five numbers in the May 4 Show Me Cash drawing. Christine Cook, 47, purchased her winning ticket at AKT Enterprises Inc. – a Phillips 66 station located at 1360 Thornton St. in Pacific – and claimed her prize at the Missouri Lottery’s St. Louis regional office on May 6.
Show Me Cash offers a rolling jackpot that starts at $50,000 and increases by at least $5,000 at each daily drawing. Players select a set of five numbers between 1 and 39 or use the Quick Pick feature to allow the computer to randomly choose the numbers for them. Cook’s hand-picked selection of winning numbers was: 4, 10, 18, 25 and 29. Her ticket was the 34th Show Me Cash jackpot-winning ticket since the game began on Sept. 8, 2008.
The Missouri Lottery generates nearly $1 billion a year in sales and contributes more than $265 million annually to Missouri public education programs, including the A+ Scholarship Program, the Virtual Schools program, Special Education Excess Costs, the Vocational Rehabilitation Program and Future Minority Teacher Scholarships. In fiscal year 2008, the Missouri Lottery ranked sixth in percentage increase in sales among the 42 United States lotteries.
