ST. LOUIS WOMAN KEEPS NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION "TO WIN LOTTERY"

A high school teacher for the St. Charles public school district fulfilled one of her New Year’s resolutions on the first day of the new year when she won $25,000 tax paid* in the Missouri Lottery’s SHOW ME 5 game. Cherie Stanley, 28, St. Louis (63121**), said one of her New Year’s resolutions was to win the lottery. Stanley said she plans to use the winnings to pay off her ’98 Chrysler Sebring and share some of the money with her family. Stanley said she dreamt the winning numbers on Nov. 19. She said it was the first time she ever dreamed about numbers, and she decided she should play them in the lottery. The winning numbers were: 2, 4, 6, 16 and 30. Stanley purchased her winning ticket at QuikTrip, 6805 N. Hanley Road in Berkeley. * Twenty-eight percent federal and 4 percent state taxes are withheld from the total prize amount of $36,764.70 to provide $25,000 cash at the time of redemption.
