Vera Petty has stepped forward to claim her $80,187 share of a Missouri Lottery Show Me Cash jackpot prize.  She purchased her winning ticket at 7-Eleven, 1193 Colonade Center in Des Peres, and redeemed it at the Lottery’s St. Louis regional office on April 22.

Petty, 27, was one of two Missouri Lottery players to match all five numbers in the April 18 drawing:  9, 11, 18, 31 and 34.  She splits the jackpot prize equally with someone who purchased the other winning ticket at a Break Time store in Springfield.

Show Me Cash offers a rolling jackpot that starts at $50,000 and increases by at least $5,000 at each daily drawing.  The estimated average winning jackpot is more than $150,000.

The Missouri Lottery generates nearly $1 billion a year in sales and contributes more than $265 million annually to Missouri public education programs, including the A+ Scholarship Program, the Virtual Schools program, Special Education Excess Costs, the Vocational Rehabilitation Program and Future Minority Teacher Scholarships.  In fiscal year 2008, the Missouri Lottery ranked sixth in percentage increase in sales among the 42 United States lotteries.
