Powerball Prize to Expire in May

Story Photo

Check your junk drawer.  Check your glove box.  Check anywhere you may have stashed a Powerball ticket last November.  Unless the holder of a winning $200,000 ticket from the Nov. 12, 2008, drawing comes forward, the prize will expire on Monday, May 11.

The winning ticket was purchased at Circle K, 3294 Telegraph Rd. in St. Louis.  It matched all five white-ball numbers to win the second-level prize of $200,000.  The winning numbers were:  1, 18, 25, 29 and 45.

“If you find you have this winning ticket, please sign the back and put it in a safe place,” said Susan Goedde, communications manager for the Missouri Lottery.  “Then bring it to any of our Lottery offices to claim your prize before May 11.  The ticket cannot be redeemed after that date, and we’d hate to see someone miss out on such a large prize.”

Powerball winners have exactly 180 days from the drawing to claim their prize.  Missouri Lottery offices are located in Kansas City, Jefferson City, St. Louis and Springfield.  Maps to each office can be found at www.molottery.com.

Any prize money that is unclaimed within 180 days after the draw date will go to benefit Missouri public education.
