A Missouri Lottery “Triple Bingo” Scratchers ticket worth $50,000 was recently purchased at Minit Food Mart, 3949 Highway 67 North, in Poplar Bluff. The winning ticket was purchased by Deborah Holden, also of Poplar Bluff. She claimed the game’s top prize at the Lottery’s St. Louis regional office on April 17.
“Triple Bingo” is a $3 game that has provided Missouri Lottery players with more than $6.5 million in total prizes since it began on Jan. 14.
The Missouri Lottery generates nearly $1 billion a year in sales and contributes more than $265 million annually to Missouri public education programs, including the A+ Scholarship Program, the Virtual Schools program, Special Education Excess Costs, the Vocational Rehabilitation Program and Future Minority Teacher Scholarships. In fiscal year 2008, the Missouri Lottery ranked sixth in percentage increase in sales among the 42 United States lotteries.
