Cole Camp Body Shop Owner Wins $91,925 Show Me Cash Prize
A body shop owner from Cole Camp is $91,925 richer after claiming one of the two winning tickets from the Missouri Lottery’s Show Me Cash drawing on March 30. Barbara Williams, 57, prefers to purchase Lottery tickets "close to the time of closing," and her method paid off in a big way.
"I wait until games are about to close before a drawing, and then I buy the tickets," she revealed.
Williams’ decision to purchase a few Show Me Cash tickets at Cole Camp Inn, 115 N. Maple St., minutes before ticket sales ended, proved to be a profitable decision.
According to Williams, a mother of three, her husband and son "couldn’t believe it" when she told them the news.
"My son hugged me and said, ’Way to go, mom,’" she noted.
Plans for the prize money include planning a trip, "maybe to Vegas with friends."
"Business is a little slow right now, so this prize will help," she explained.
Williams was the 27th Show Me Cash Jackpot winner since the game began on Sept. 8, but she is not new to the idea of winning.
"I won $21,000 on Pick 4 the year before last," she said. "I feel really lucky!"
Show Me Cash offers a rolling jackpot starting at $50,000, which increases by at least $5,000 at each drawing. To date, more than $3.3 million has been awarded in the game.
