Jesse Hudson of Salem is the first Missouri Lottery player to match all eight lines in the Lottery’s newest daily Numbers Game, Lucky Dough. The feat earned the 30-year-old the game’s first jackpot prize of $76,779.
Hudson purchased his winning ticket at Salem Bowling Center LLC in Salem on March 21.
“I didn’t believe it,” Hudson shared about the moment he realized he might be holding a winning ticket. “I checked it like five times.”
Though he “started shaking,” he was able to collect his thoughts enough to tell a few patrons at the bowling center about his win. “And, after my hand stopped shaking, I could finally sign the back (of the ticket),” he recalled.
Though he hasn’t had time to think much about it yet, Hudson plans to “pay some bills and get my car paid off” with his winnings.
Lucky Dough, which officially began on March 2, is played much like tic-tac-toe. The more lines you match, the more you win. The game is played at more than 1,000 social environments with liquor-by-the-drink licenses with drawings held every five minutes from 5 a.m. to 1:50 a.m. It offers a rolling jackpot that starts at $10,000 and continues to grow until someone wins it.
