Cedar Hill Woman Takes Home $100,000 Lottery Prize

Story Photo A few minutes to spare before work led a Cedar Hill woman to a $100,000 Missouri Lottery prize on a Missouri Lottery "$200,000 A Year For Life" Scratchers ticket.  Jenny Goben, a 40-year-old store attendant, stopped at Circle K, 1435 Kirkwood Road in St. Louis, and then drove to work.

According to Goben, she scratched the ticket in the parking lot.

"I was so excited, I ran into the store and told a co-worker," began Goben.  "My co-worker checked the ticket for me, and told me it was a winner.  I couldn’t believe it!"

Goben, a first-time Lottery winner, says this money will come in handy, because her son just had a bone marrow transplant.

"I am going to use some of the winnings to take my son to Florida to visit family," she said.  "I’m not sure what else I will do.  Maybe I will take a cruise this summer."

$200,000 A Year For Life" is the Missouri Lottery’s second $20 Scratchers game.  The game, which officially began on Jan. 31, offers more than $76 million in prizes and a top prize of $200,000 a year for life.
