ST. LOUIS WAREHOUSE WORKER WINS $25,000

Instead of managing stock in a warehouse, one St. Louis man is planning to buy stock after winning $25,000 tax paid* in the June 30 Missouri Lottery SHOW ME 5 drawing. Harry Snodgrass (63139**), 49, said he may also use some of the prize money to buy carpet for his 20-year-old daughter’s apartment. Snodgrass purchased his winning ticket at Schnucks Market, 5055 Arsenal in St. Louis. He let the computer pick the numbers on his $1 ticket. The winning numbers were: 14, 17, 25, 27 and 29. To date, 881 tickets worth $25,000 tax paid* have been sold since the SHOW ME 5 game began six years ago. * Twenty-eight percent federal and 4 percent state taxes are withheld from the total prize amount of $36,764.70 to provide $25,000 cash at the time of redemption. Depending on personal income, winners may owe additional taxes for the prize, or they may receive a refund. ** winner’s zip code to determine coverage area
