Five more lucky Missouri Lottery players are saying “Aloha!” to the New Year. The newest winners, who were drawn in the second of three “Holiday in Hawaii” promotion drawings, each won a trip for four to Hawaii – along with $2,000 in spending money.
Brooke Hertzing of Argyle, Peggy Jones of Steele, Kathy Miller of Sunrise Beach, Gisela Smith of Maryland Heights and Betty Wilson of Florissant were each selected as grand-prize winners in the “second-chance” promotion.
For Jones, it was the first time she had ever entered such a promotion.
“I was at work and about passed out,” she said, remembering how she was called to the computer to see her name in print on the Lottery’s winner’s page.
“I laughed. I cried. I freaked out,” she chuckled, noting she’s now “just overjoyed.”
“Now that I know it’s not a gimmick, I’m entering every time!”
In addition to the grand prizes and first-place shopping sprees worth $1,000, 50 second-place winners in each “Holiday in Hawaii” drawing will receive $300 worth of Missouri Lottery Scratchers tickets.
Only one drawing remains. For a chance to win, players should submit at least $10 worth (in any combination) of current non-winning holiday-themed Scratchers tickets on or before 5 p.m. on Jan. 6.

Players may enter through the Lottery’s Web site at Molottery.com or by submitting the entry at a Missouri Lottery office in Kansas City, Jefferson City, Springfield or St. Louis. Entries submitted at a Lottery office must be in an envelope no larger than 11” x 5 ¾.”
