Bill McCormick, 64, of Arbyrd won $100,000 tax paid* in the Missouri Lottery’s $100K Triple Play game. McCormick said he had "a gut feeling it was a winner," though he was shocked when he found out it was worth $100,000 tax paid. McCormick purchased his winning ticket at Penny Pincher Mini Mart, 1700 E. First St. in Kennett using "Quick Pick." His winning numbers were: 11, 25, 27, and 40. $100K Triple Play drawings have been held every Friday night at 6:57 p.m. since March 31. Tomorrow night will be the final drawing for the limited-time numbers game. * Twenty-eight percent federal and 4 percent state taxes are withheld from the total prize amount of $147,059. Depending on personal income, winners may owe additional taxes for the prize, or they may be entitled to a refund.
