Lotto Ticket Sold In Trenton; Second One for Retail Location

Lightning has struck twice at Kum & Go, 1419 E. 9th in Trenton!  For the second time, a Missouri Lotto jackpot ticket worth more than a million was sold there, this time for the Nov. 22 drawing to win the $1.4 million jackpot.  Those winning numbers are:  12, 18, 22, 25, 27 and 30.

On June 29, 1988, Robert Railsback of Trenton purchased a winning Missouri Lotto ticket worth $3.3 million at the same location.

"If you buy tickets there, please check them carefully," said Susan Goedde, communications manager for the Missouri Lottery.

If you find you hold the winning ticket, sign the back and put it in a safe place until you can claim your prize at a Missouri Lottery office.  Lottery offices are located in Kansas City, Jefferson City, St. Louis and Springfield.  Maps to each office can be found on the Lottery’s Web site at molottery.com.

The winner has the option of taking the prize in 25 annual payments of $56,000 before taxes, or as one lump sum prize now, which would be $700,000 before taxes.  Either way, the Lottery will withhold 25 percent for federal taxes and 4 percent for state taxes.

Lotto winners have exactly 180 days from the drawing to claim their prize.  In this case, the winner has until May 21, 2009.

There have been 183 winning Missouri Lotto jackpot tickets sold since the game began in 1986.
