A routine trip to the local gas station ended with a drive to Jefferson City to claim a winning $50,000 prize. John Bock, 55, of Eldon scratched off his winning Missouri Lottery “Crossword” ticket while still inside the North Side Conoco at 605 Business 54 in Eldon on Nov. 17.
Upon realizing he had won the top prize, he said he had an overwhelming “feeling of happiness” and headed north to Missouri Lottery Headquarters. A weekly Lottery player, Bock noted that paying off some debt and putting a portion of his winnings into savings were definitely in his future plans.
“Crossword," a $3 game with a top prize of $50,000, officially began on Aug. 30.
