Springfield College Student Claims Show Me Cash Jackpot

Story Photo A Springfield college student rose to the head of the class after winning the Missouri Lottery’s Show Me Cash jackpot worth $144,872, on Nov. 10.  Jaswinder Singh, 24, was enjoying his day off from Vatterott College by shopping with his sister when they decided to stop at Price Chopper, 1833 E. North Ave. in Belton.
Singh, a first-time Lottery winner, discovered he was the jackpot winner when he checked his ticket the following day.

"I went to a gas station and put my ticket in the machine to check it," said Singh.  "I saw that I won and thought, ’Wow!’  I drove to another gas station after checking it at the first one and checked it from the next store’s machine, too."

According to Singh, he never imagined winning the Lottery, but the recent win will help him with his future plans.

"I would like to buy a house next year," said Singh.  "I don’t have any other plans for the money right now.  I am going to think about it."

Show Me Cash offers a rolling jackpot starting at $50,000, which increases by at least $5,000 at each drawing.  Singh was the seventh Show Me Cash jackpot winner since the game began on Sept. 8.
